The Ahri call was right
Last Friday I said to sell your Ahri Inquisitive Signature while the price was going up. You want to sell on the way up, not on the way down.
This week six more Ahri - Inquisitive (Signature) PSA 10s sold. The lowest was $10,500. The top was $12,000. I am making the same call again. Everything gets a correction at some point, and nobody knows when.
The Ahri - Nine-Tailed Fox (Signature) also sold for $11,100.
A sign the top may be slowing
Last week, two Kai'Sa metal Prize Wall cards sold above $23,000. This week, nothing sold above $17,000. The market is still paying, but the very top looks slower. That is the first thing that makes me wonder if a correction is coming.
This covers August 6 to 13. There were 350 graded sales across 110 cards. 317 were PSA, 32 were BGS and one was TAG. The middle sale was $985. Last week there were 218 sales with a $655 middle sale.
The top sales
The top sale was the Teemo - Swift Scout (Metal) (Prize Wall) at $16,600. It was an auction with 36 bids. If you own a graded one, it may be a good time to think about selling.
A Kai'Sa - Daughter of the Void (Signature) PSA 10 sold for $13,100. The Kai'Sa - Daughter of the Void (Metal) (Prize Wall) sold for $14,000. A Kai'Sa in BGS 9.5 sold for $6,000.
You can still open Origins packs for a Signature. You can no longer get metal Prize Wall cards. So I expect the Prize Wall cards to rise faster. If Kai'Sa wins the Barcelona Regional Qualifier, I think they will go up.
What I would sell
The Jinx - Loose Cannon (Metal) (Prize Wall) has not had a big sale since July 19. Jinx is not strong in the meta. I think it is a sell.
Kai'Sa is strong in the meta right now, and her prices are moving up. I think she is heading into the sell zone too.
Cards I am watching
The Karma - Channeler (Overnumbered) keeps falling. It is around $50. If I find clean copies locally, I may pick some up to grade. A Yasuo Overnumbered is starting to rise.
The Ahri - Nine-Tailed Fox (Release Event Prize Pack) dipped around August 10. There is not much data on it yet.
Sealed
The Worlds bundle is about $1,100 and has been flat. The Arcane box is about $566, with the lowest listing at $558. Last week it sold around $590. I think it will settle near $500.
The T1 Worlds Signature Edition drawing opens this weekend. There is a $360 bundle and a player bundle for about $70. You get one entry per account.
