Two different markets
Vendetta's market is splitting in two. The Overnumbered legends are mostly dropping. The Epics are cheap. If you need playsets or trade binder cards, this is a good weekend to buy.
Akali is the only legend going up
The Akali, Rogue Assassin (Overnumbered) is $368. It has gone up almost every day. I think it could reach $400 soon. It is the chase card of this set. If you plan to play it, I would not wait too long.
The other legends are dropping
- Kennen, Heart of the Tempest (Overnumbered): about $267. The high sale was $350 and the last was $265. I think it settles near $250.
- Zed, Master of Shadows (Overnumbered): about $190. The last sale was $188. I see it still falling.
- Mel, Soul's Reflection (Overnumbered): $168. I think Zed and Mel could reach about $150.
- Jayce, Defender of Tomorrow (Overnumbered): $165. The lowest sale was $150. I think that is where it settles.
- Nasus, Curator of the Sands (Overnumbered): the last sale was $106 and the lowest was $87.99. I think it lands near $90. If you play Nasus and see it at $80, I would buy.
- Ambessa, Matriarch of War (Overnumbered): the first legend under $100. Its lowest sale was $94. I see it near $75.
- Shen, Eye of Twilight (Overnumbered): $71. I think it drops to about $50.
- Renekton, Butcher of the Sands (Overnumbered): $63. It could become a $40 legend.
My rule: when an Overnumbered legend drops to about $50, I just buy one for my binder.
Why the Epics are so cheap
Most Vendetta legends are not in the top tiers yet. So their Epics, like their signature spells, do not see much play. That keeps prices low.
Two Epics are the exception. Lightning Rush is about $28 because most Kennen decks run three. Shuriken Flip is about $23 because Akali is the most popular legend. I would not buy either one yet. If those decks fall off, the prices could drop.
Rebuttal is the only Epic in the teens. Three cards are between $5 and $10. Everything else is under $5.
The $1 bin
Death Mark is about $3.75. Ocean Drake is about $3, and it shows up in Irelia and Draven decks. Akali, Deadly Weapon is about $3. Mel, Newly Awakened is about $2.50. Nasus, Ascended and Corrupted Dragon are about $1. One Epic has a market price of 33 cents.
Cards can change fast. We have seen sub-$1 cards become $15 cards. My rule: if an Epic is under $5, I buy my playset.
