One playset versus four
Master Yi needs only one playset of Epics. Kennen needs four. Both are in the top five decks right now. Here is what each one costs:
- Diana: about $192
- Master Yi: about $195
- Lux: about $303
- Irelia: about $370
- Kennen: about $465
Master Yi
Master Yi's only Epic is Rengar, Trophy Hunter. Its market price is $18.72. It is down 2% in 30 days. A playset is about $60. That is why Master Yi is one of the cheapest decks. For new players, I think mid-range Master Yi is the best place to start.
Lux
The Lux legend is about $5. Ruination is about $18, with the lowest listing at $16.99. It is up 53% in 30 days, but you only need one.
Time Warp has a market price of $68. It is up 62%. You need three, so that is about $210. Seal of Insight is about $15. It is down 21%. If you are new, I would get a playset.
Kennen
The Kennen, Heart of the Tempest (Overnumbered) dropped to about $216. Last week I said it would fall a little, and it did.
The Kennen, Storm of Shuriken champion unit is only $3.78. Lightning Rush is about $19, and it is still dropping.
Seal of Discord is the big money card. Its market price is $61, but the lowest listing is $73.99. It is up 65% in 30 days. If Kennen wins the next Regional Qualifier, I would not be surprised to see $85 to $90.
Last Rites has a market price of $61, with the lowest listing at $68. It is up 84%. It was $32 not long ago. You need two. If you do not play purple, sell your extras now and trade up for cards you need.
Baron Nashor is about $18. It is up about 5%. Most lists run one or two.
Irelia
The Irelia - Blade Dancer (Overnumbered) has a market price of $151. It is up 29%. Last month it was near $117. I like to buy legends near $150.
The Irelia, Fervent champion unit is about $19. It is down about 8%. The Vendetta Irelia, Fervent (Overnumbered) is about $135. It is down 32%. I want to get one closer to $100.
Defiant Dance is about $20, and you need three. Vex, Apathetic is about $14. It is down about 9%.
Diana
The Diana - Scorn of the Moon (Overnumbered) is about $250. It is up 27% in 30 days.
The deck needs three Vex, Apathetic at about $14 and three Moonfall at about $15. Those two playsets are about $90, half the deck.
Why purple costs more
Stacked Deck is an uncommon from Origins. It is about $7 to $8. That is more than almost every Epic in Vendetta. Fizz is about $8. Purple is one of the best colors, so its cards cost more.
I also said the Akali, Rogue Assassin (Overnumbered) would clear $500. It did, and it is still climbing.
